Perceive

hello dear

I watched this in class and it did more of a smooth color transition in the background as opposed to the abrupt changes on here. You can adjust that in the export settings if you want.

I really like how you lose the letters into the background. I would kind of like to see them move across the screen or possibly get lost into something else. Perhaps the v fades into a champagne glass or something...

If you do want people to struggle to see the word (as you wrote in your reflection), Mike, you might try not having the word be present on the first screen but instead have its letters fade in and out from the beginning, as you do so nicely as the animation progresses.

I think you are doing a sweet job here on encouraging us (your viewers) to consider how perception is a matter of having something stand out from its background -- and of how perception shifts in different situations.

I do like the smart consideration of viewer experience that you are testing here.

Do you know how to do the things you described in your reflection -- or do you want to set up a short meeting to work that out?
